Brigid Martin grew up in the Latham/Loudonville area and attended thirteen years of Catholic school before heading to college in Massachusetts. She relocated to the area fifteen years ago to pursue a sales career with TVData/Tribune Media.
Brigid lives in the village with her husband Richard and their two children, Brian and Colleen. They are currently refurbishing their 109-year-old Victorian home. Richard is a manager with UPS and Brian and Colleen currently attend Harrison Avenue Elementary School.
Brigid has over twenty years of sales and marketing experience. She has consulted with key decision makers at various types of businesses and government agencies locally, nationally, and internationally. She has organized lead generation for IBM and most recently helped The Post Star with the launch of two weekly newspapers. Brigid now runs her own consulting business from her home office.
For fun, Brigid is researching for a book, The Brigid’s/Bridget’s of St. Mary’s Cemetery. Interestingly, there are over eighty women buried in that South Glens Falls cemetery with the same first name.
Brigid has been a political volunteer since childhood. Most recently, she helped her childhood friend Senator Kirsten Gillibrand with two successful elections.
